Redefine "possibility" through action.
Protecting the Earth has never been exclusive to any particular group; everyone can contribute to this planet. One afternoon in March, a group of partners fighting against illness demonstrated through their actions that even when facing difficulties, one can still take responsibility for the world, leaving touching footprints on the beach.
By participating in person, you can truly feel it.
Despite the light drizzle, it couldn't dampen everyone's enthusiasm. Seeing the scattered debris on the beach only fueled their dedication. Lequ Bay designed a series of interactive challenges, such as "Ocean Trash Tic-Tac-Toe," where participants had to find corresponding pieces of marine debris. This made everyone more focused on the beach cleanup activity, fostering close teamwork within groups as they searched for hidden treasures among the sand.
After the beach cleanup, we extended the experience indoors to deepen everyone's understanding of the marine environment, transforming abstract environmental theories into profound sensory memories. During the Q&A session, everyone actively participated and answered, with group members discussing and sharing their thoughts, planting the seeds of environmental stewardship in their hearts.
Every small action can make the world a better place.
Guess how much trash we collected in just 30 minutes?
The moment the results were announced—60 kilograms—the entire audience was amazed. This number exceeded everyone's expectations and made them realize that one should not set limitations due to physical inconvenience. My strength can also have a significant impact on the surrounding environment.
A beach cleanup, seeing one's self-worth
A beach cleanup not only raises awareness of the importance of environmental protection, but for the participants, it can be more than just picking up trash. It's a process of overcoming physical discomfort and engaging in self-reflection.
For them, the realization that they are a part of the Earth and can contribute to the environment is more inspiring than any words.
At the end of the event, one participant shared, "I now bring my own reusable cup when buying bubble tea. It's not to save five dollars, but because I genuinely care about the Earth and value environmental protection." Another shared that they were surprised they collected 60 kilograms of trash in such a short time, and felt deeply moved by everyone's passion while accomplishing such a meaningful task together.
This beach cleanup is more than just an environmental action, it's also是Rediscovering one's self-worth, everyone has the ability to bring a little bit of change to this world.
