In the beginning of 2026, Zeiss Taiwan, in the FY2526 KOM Kick Off Meeting, 300 colleagues gathered together and chose to visualize the future with LEGO Team Building!
The goal of this event is not just to rally, but to actualize the four values and turn them into a language of action.
For ZEISS Taiwan, a company founded 180 years ago and renowned for its precision technology, "value" must be precisely understood and clearly practiced.
Customer Needs
The core objective of Zeiss Taiwan's campaign is very clear:
- Strengthening departmental cooperation and interaction
- Enabling colleagues to re-understand the value of the Big Four's actions
- Aligning Strategic Directions for the New Year
The grouping was done through "teaming with departments", which allowed the departments to deepen their discussions in familiar work networks, and then formed a holistic organizational perspective by linking up the results of the whole event.
Lok Chun Wan Design
We have designed the program as a three-step process that goes throughDefine the meaning, construct the model, and write the promise. These three hurdles allow departmental partners to gradually become "what we want to be" in a familiar collaborative context.
- SERVE(Service) - Both Hands
- EMPOWER(Empowerment) - Doors and Keys
- ACT(Action) - Charge Arrows
- WIN(Winning) - Championship Trophy
It is not the symbols themselves that are truly wonderful, but the words written about them by their partners.
On-site Observation
Our favorite part of the event was observing the real-life reactions of the team when faced with an ambiguous task. Partners were tasked with deconstructing the problem, sketching it out, or organizing their input. In the Lego Replica Challenge, the observation and construction teams were split up. One team got stuck in the first round of the competition, when the observation team's descriptions were too abstract for the construction team to accurately recreate.
Before the second round began, they readjusted their strategy: the description was changed to "first talk about the color of the base and the number of floors, then talk about the left and right positions", and the construction team simultaneously restated the confirmation, which not only shortened the construction time, but also better understood the language of the partners, and the communication went from ambiguous to precise.
Share Moments
As the results were shared live, we felt the transformation of the team on stage.
Almost all of the works of the SERVE Group are centered on the "bridge", which is a bridge between the client and the company. Although the bridge is not the main character, it is the bridge that makes things go smoothly.
We found that the content of the sharing gradually shifted from "model presentation" to "departmental culture reflection". Discussions have shifted from the event itself to daily work. The team slowly aligned into similar language and direction. Towards the end of the event, the atmosphere relaxed significantly, with more laughter and more comfortable and natural sharing.
We firmly believe that corporate culture is not a passive strategy, but a consensus generated through discussion and practice. ZEISS Taiwan chose to use LEGO to make its values "visible", and we are honored to participate in it and witness how these 300 partners aligned their directions and made the blueprint for the future take shape little by little.
