SoapBox Boat Challenge

We believe that every team has the potential for insanity and untapped creativity.

"SoapBox Boat Challenge" - a fun activity to enhance teamwork

TheSoapBox Boat Challenge originated in the U.S. from SoapBox, where people used sturdy soap boxes to create a powerless boat or car to race in the early days. Now, we've brought this fun activity to team building by creating a one-of-a-kind paper soap boat out of cardboard, and then organizing a relay race in the pool to inspire team members to work together, at the same time develop their individual strengths. At the end of the event, team members will be guided through a reflective discussion to discover commonalities and further enhance team cohesion in order to achieve higher team building goals.

This fun-filled SoapBox boat race will not only strengthen the communication and collaboration between team members, but also allows everyone to bring out their creativity and expertise in the race and gain the joy of success.

If you're looking for a team-building activity that promotes team cohesion, strengthens team communication, and integrates resources, then LeBay's SoapBox Boat Challenge is the right place for you.

FAQ

It is recommended that the number of members in each group to be 6 to 10, and that men and women should be equally distributed in the grouping to ensure fairness.

Each team has to make 2 to 3 paper boats and run 3 or 4 trips in a 2-person boat relay during the race.

Such grouping helps to enhance interaction among participants and gives everyone a chance to develop their creativity and skills in the program, thus strengthening team cohesion and cooperation.

SoapBox Boat Challenge were affected to some extent by the weather. The program is divided into two parts: making paper boats indoors and racing in the pool. Paper boats can be raced in the rain, but in case of thunder, the activity must be suspended to ensure safety.

To avoid the weather from affecting your event, you may want to consider choosing an indoor pool (such as a sports center) as your venue. This will not only ensure that the event is not disturbed by the weather, but will also help to keep participants comfortable and safe.

When selecting a venue, we will assist you in assessing the suitability of both indoor and outdoor pools and develop an appropriate program for your team building event.

Safety is definitely the number one priority in the SoapBox Boat Challenge, and even non-swimmers can participate with confidence. The race is usually held in a pool with a depth of 1 meter to 1.5 meters, which is a safe and manageable depth for most people.

During the event, professional lifeguards will be on standby at the poolside and ensure the safety of participants. If someone falls into the water, they can swim or walk to the poolside. We will ensure that the event is conducted in a safe environment so that every participant can experience teamwork and creative thinking in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

It is recommended that you wear a swimsuit, swim trunks or lightweight sportswear, beachwear and a swim cap (we also provide communal swim caps) when entering the water.

Please do not wear cotton pants, jeans, skirts or other clothing that is not suitable for swimming. Remember to bring extra clothes to wash and change after the activity.
